Dr. Amanda Pappas

Dr. Amanda Pappas is a Chicago native who grew up in the Wrigleyville neighborhood and attended The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools.  Go Cubs! Go Maroons!

Dr. Pappas loves working with children and prides herself on creating a positive, fun and safe environment for her patients.  She believes education is the single best tool for maintaining a happy healthy smile. Dr. Pappas is patient and gentle, and strives to create memorable experiences and habits that will last a lifetime.

Dr. Pappas  completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts.  She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from A.T. Still University’s Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health in St. Louis.  She was nominated by her faculty and received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Student award in recognition of excellence in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Pappas is a world traveler and a citizen of three countries!  Devoted to helping children from all backgrounds, she also earned her Master of Public Health at A.T. Still University and has participated in service trips to Honduras and Jamaica.

Dr. Pappas completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Illinois in Chicago, earning an additional Master in Oral Sciences.  She conducted her Masters research on maternal mental health and pediatric patient failure rates. As her final project for her Masters, Dr. Pappas established an educational oral hygiene program for expecting mothers at her local public aid clinic. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society and Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity.

Dr. Pappas lives in the West Loop and enjoys trying out all the new restaurants the neighborhood has to offer.  In addition, she enjoys yoga, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. If she’s not in the office, you can probably find her in a group fitness class!
