Dr. Chad Silver

Dr. Chad Silver was born and raised in Northbrook, IL and was a patient of Dr. Resnick growing up! He received his B.S. in Psychology from Indiana University and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Illinois-Chicago, while serving as class president throughout dental school. As a dental student, Dr. Silver was selected by his faculty for numerous awards including the Dr. Joseph Kolodziejck Leadership Award, Rice Humanitarian Award, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Award. On his first year as a pediatric dental resident, Dr. Silver was nominated by his peers and received the Sparky D. Dragon Customer Service Award given to a UIC College member who displays excellence in care, concern, and support for patients.
Dr. Silver served as Chief Resident at the University of Illinois-Chicago and completed his Pediatric Dental Residency program in June of 2021. His research focused on how oral inflammation influences the timing of dental eruption in children. Dr. Silver’s motivation for pediatric dentistry stems from his passion for working with children with special needs, and he believes that a positive first dental experience is essential to lead children down a path of optimal oral health.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Rachel, playing basketball, watching his beloved Indiana Hoosiers, and checking out the best and newest Chicago restaurants.
Dr. Silver is an active member of Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity, American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and Illinois State Dental Society.
