Meet Fredric S. Tatel, D.D.S.
Dr. Fredric Tatel grew up in Chicago and attended Chicago Public Schools. He received his undergraduate degree in fine arts and a Masters in General Studies degree at Northwestern University in Evanston. After obtaining his dental degree, also from Northwestern, he decided he wanted to earn a specialty license in dentistry for children. He became an intern at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for one year and then did a year of postgraduate study in pediatric dentistry at Marquette University in Milwaukee. Over the years, he has also acquired twelve hours towards a Masters in English at Northwestern and twenty three hours toward a Masters in Musicology at the Chicago Musical College at Roosevelt University. Dr. Tatel holds the rank of Senior Lecturer at Northwestern University Medical School and he teaches in the General Practice Residency Program at Evanston Hospital. He consults for the surgical staff of Ingalls Hospital. He also reviews articles for the Journal of the American Dental Association and has authored articles for the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Tatel is a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He also holds membership in all of the local and national dental and pediatric dental societies as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Orthodontic Society.
